Review

Producer THE COLONEL is back with his latest release, the Ain’t No Badman EP.

Following on from the impressive Next Level EP earlier in the year, the talented producer returns with 4 further heavyweight tracks. And for those that like their productions smothered in BASS, this release is bound to make you go weak at the knees.

EP title track Ain’t No Badman kicks things off with a bang, with it’s warping energetic bass and broken up beat, this ones straight GRITTY. On track Joy & Confusion he uses the neatly chopped vocal to great effect, alongside some tidy synth work and multi frequency bass, this ones going to cause some speaker damage.

Track Keep Me Up features Don Amoz, and is put simply – A 2-step Bass THUMPER, complete with aggressive stabs and snare. Final track That’s That features J Poet, and is a broken beat wobbler. With a nice arrangement on the strings, and a rasping bass that doesn’t let up, this one isn’t going to go shy of support.

The talented producer is really building a name for himself at the moment, and this EP only adds further weight to his CV.
