Review

The Colonel returns for Tipping Point with his 3rd release for the label. After the massive success of debut Big Trouble picking up props from BBC Radio One, Toddla T and more, the beatmaker is back with another massive club tune.

The track is already gaining favour with tastemakers across the scene including Radio One’s Huw Stephens, who made it his track of the week. He rates the ‘amazing mysterious producer’ as one of his picks of upcoming UK talent, and who are we to argue?

The release couples his trademark quirky film dialogue coupled with spaced out synths and a massive bassline. The garage-dubstep hybrid blueprint is fast becoming a sound all of his own – this tune is set to be a must have for discerning DJs this autumn.

Also featured in the July Fabric promo mix from the Patchwork Pirates.
